Understanding, predicting and dealing with the challenges of the fashion industry

The Master’s Course in Fashion Communication and Marketing at IED Roma will give you the opportunity to gain an overall vision of the fashion system as you are actively involved in backstage activities of any new collection, runway show, advertising image or celebrity endorsement.

Over the three trimesters, you will come into contact with national and international companies from both haute couture and fast fashion. You will learn about the whole process of product development and production, distribution and communication, with particular emphasis on digital communication.

This training path seeks to prepare you to meet the challenges in the fashion market using professional tools and enjoying a high degree of creative and organisational flexibility.

The Master’s Course in Fashion Communication and Marketing at IED Roma is for anyone who can think without barriers, who never gets tired of delving into a topic, and who can work as a team.

It is intended for students with degrees in humanities, social sciences, economics and science, as well as for those with equivalent professional experience in the subject area of the course.

The Master’s Course in Fashion Communication and Marketing at IED Roma is a progression learning path, with plenty of insights to enable you to figure out what your path in this industry can be.

You will not just learn how to move from an idea to a finished product, but also how to understand the vision behind, making sure that product will be distributed and promoted. 

You will learn how to build brand value using research tools to interpret corporate identity codes.

Study programme

This Master's Degree is divided into trimesters. Over the first and second trimesters you will acquire practical and theoretical skills, while the last one will focus on your Dissertation Project, consisting of a marketing and communication plan based on a real business case.
