IED Kunsthal Bilbao opens the 2026/27 Master’s and Postgraduate academic year with Toni Segarra

On 1 October, IED Kunsthal Bilbao will hold the official opening event for the 2026/27 Master’s and Postgraduate academic year.
The day will begin with an institutional welcome for Master’s and Postgraduate students, followed by a Jam Session with Toni Segarra, one of Spain’s most influential figures in creativity and communication, open to the wider IED Kunsthal Bilbao community.
The creator behind legendary campaigns such as ¿Te gusta conducir? (BMW) and Bienvenido a la república independiente de tu casa (IKEA), Segarra has built a career defined by a particularly attentive understanding of people, their emotions and behaviours, and by an approach to creativity capable of connecting with very different audiences.
His participation is especially relevant in an educational context that seeks to connect design, creativity and professional practice. The conversation will explore creative practice and judgement, the relationship between people, emotions and creativity, and the impact of technology and new generations on the profession.

This year’s programme includes the Master in Food Design, the Master in Interior Design for Retail, Hospitality and Workspaces, the Master in Product Design and Ecodesign, the Master in Graphic Design and Visual Communication and the new Postgraduate Course in Art Direction.
