An intensive week of Architectural Sketching, exploring Florence through drawing and direct observation. This is what Interior Design students from IED Barcelona — accompanied by two lecturers and an academic coordinator — have experienced by taking part in a blended mobility initiative with IED Firenze, within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.
The experience, which combined prior online sessions with on-site activities, enabled students to develop their ability to analyse and represent architectural space, connecting with and interpreting the atmosphere of emblematic locations such as the Central Market, Palazzo Strozzi, Santa Croce and the Odeon bookshop theatre.
The final outcomes of the week’s work were presented in a concluding exhibition and a collection of postcards, which were sent by post from IED Firenze and are currently on their way to IED Barcelona.
