IED AND MODALISBOA JOIN FORCES TO SEARCH FOR THE NEW TALENT DESIGNER

IED was partner of Lisbon Fashion Week sponsoring the young fashion designer’s contest “Sangue Novo” and took part in the Fast Talks panel discussing the future of fashion.

The lights went off on the fall edition of the Lisbon Fashion Week “Moda Lisboa” that took place from October 5th till the 9th. For this year and for the first time, IED was sponsor of the event within the scope of discussing and nurturing the future of fashion design.

On October 6th IED Firenze Director, Danilo Venturi, hosted the panel OASIFICATION where he addressed the contemporary challenges of the fashion industry nowadays like climate changes and new consumer behaviors.

Sangue Novo is the young designer contest designed to stimulate and empower creativity and production in Fashion, is a project in defense of transdisciplinary and experimentation of new paths, not only in Design but in business models. The winner with a series of prizes including a 100% scholarship to the master in Fashion Design - IED Milano - starting in January 2023. On October 7th at 6 PM the 10 semi finalists presented their collections to the jury among which there was the Director of the Fashion Department of IED Milano, Olivia Spinelli.

After the presentation they were selected 5 finalists - Çal Pfungst, Darya Fesenko, Inês Barreto, Molly98 and Niuka Oliveira - you can see some of their outfits in the gallery below.

The winner of a 100% scholarship for a Master's degree in Fashion Design - IED Milano - will be announced on March 2023 Modalisboa edition. Throughout the process, the creatives receive follow-up and mentoring from the panel of judges, in order to better prepare them for the integration into the national Fashion industry.
