IED Barcelona fashion takes over BNEW 2023

For four days, students of the Bachelor of Arts in Design, specialising in Fashion Design demonstrated the ins and outs of the design process

From 2 to 5 October, IED fashion converted the corridors of the avant-garde innovation centre DFactory in Barcelona into a real fashion atelier.

To mark the occasion of a new edition of the Barcelona New Economy Week – BNEW, a group of students from the Bachelor of Arts in Design, specialising in Fashion Design at the Barcelona school recreated a live fashion design workshop for a few hours, showing the ins and outs of the design process in a live format. Visitors were able to discover what happens both in the development stages of a concept and during the subsequent production process.

Also on display at DFactory was a selection of looks designed by recent fashion graduates that were seen on the catwalk at the La Paloma venue last June as part of the latest edition of Fashioners of the World, the annual fashion show that concludes the training programme of the degree in fashion design.
