IED joined a creative gathering in Tbilisi to connect with young talents from Georgia and Armenia and share insights on design and education.

On May 14th, 2025, IED – Istituto Europeo di Design was invited to an inspiring creative event From Post-Industrial to Community Design at the Design Institute in Tbilisi, Georgia, welcoming young talents, educators, and creative professionals from across Georgia and Armenia.

The evening opened with a warm and insightful speech by Fabiola Albanese, Vice Capo Missione at the Embassy of Italy in Tbilisi, who emphasized the importance of international collaboration and education in the creative industries.

The event highlight was a lecture by Zeno Franchini, Professor at IED Torino, who explored the emotional power of design in shaping meaningful connections between people, objects, and spaces. His session sparked engaging conversations among attendees, many of whom were aspiring designers considering studies in Italy and Spain.

IED also held a portfolio review session, offering valuable feedback and guidance to prospective students on how to present their creative work compellingly and professionally.

The event continued with one-to-one meetings, where participants received personalized information on IED’s Undergraduate, Master, and Study Abroad programs, along with details on scholarships and the admissions process.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Design Institute and the Italian Embassy in Tbilisi for their support, and to all the students and partners who made this meeting a success.

Stay tuned for future events across the globe – be creative with IOT.
