A fresh, creative perspective on Turin’s major events, blending sport, culture, and community.
During the Nitto ATP Finals hosted in Turin, students from IED Turin’s Photography course had the opportunity to visually narrate the rich program curated by the City of Turin, the Piedmont Region, and the Turin Chamber of Commerce, with support from Turismo Torino e Provincia and Visit Piemonte. Their work focused on two iconic venues: Casa Tennis in Piazza Castello and Casa Gusto at the State Archives in Piazzetta Mollino.
Throughout the opening days, these themed spaces hosted discussions on the relationship between sport, culture, and local identity, talks with athletes and sports figures, workshops, and food and wine experiences that brought together regional excellence and an international audience.
The students of IED Turin’s three-year Photography program documented the atmosphere of these events, capturing the vibrancy and engagement that animated the city during the ATP Finals. Guided by photographer and lecturer Andrea Guermani, they worked with a professional approach—from selecting the most meaningful shots to mastering light and composition—translating the connection between sport, culture, and urban identity into compelling images.
This experience offered them a concrete opportunity to engage with a real, international context and to contribute, through their creative vision, to the storytelling of an event that celebrated Turin as a city of sport and hospitality.
