Marcello Bottaro, Andrea Mammì, and Chiara Baldovini, third-year students in Communication Design, won three Wood Pencils and travelled to London for the D&AD New Blood Awards ceremony—one of the most prestigious international competitions for emerging creative talent.

Selected among hundreds of applicants from around the world, the three IED Torino students received three Wood Pencil awards as part of the D&AD New Blood Awards 2025, a global benchmark in the field of creative excellence.

The awarded projects are:
Match&Cheese (Marcello Bottaro)
Just Press X (Andrea Mammì)
giffgaff is in the air (Chiara Baldovini)

The award ceremony took place in London on July 2, where the students attended the official event organized by D&AD. It was an opportunity to network with industry professionals, fellow creatives from across the globe, and representatives from partner companies—a meaningful experience both professionally and personally, shared as part of the New Blood Community.

Thanks to their Wood Pencil wins, the students are now eligible for the D&AD New Blood Academy, an intensive professional training programme designed to launch the most promising young creatives into the advertising and communication industry.
