Why Graphic Design Festival is back in Florence for its sixth edition from April 12 to 14.

Why Festival is back in Florence for its sixth edition from April 12 to 14.

With a new program that will highlight various creative spaces in the city, Why will offer talks, exhibitions, panels, workshops, and other events featuring professionals, educators, and students.

This edition of the festival places a particular emphasis on the theme of resilience: "In an era when we are faced with increasingly complex challenges, resilience becomes a fundamental concept. Not just in a political or social sense, but also in the context of design and visual communication. The ability to withstand external pressures, to persevere in the face of adversity, and to fight for one's passions are central themes that will be explored during the festival. Through design and visual communication, we aim to give voice to current issues and find creative solutions that can inspire change," shares festival director and founder Laura Ottina along with Nvard Yerkanian.

The event involves various creative areas, including graphic design and animation, typography and calligraphy, teaching and independent publishing, illustration, and artistic printing.

It will be a unique opportunity to discuss the challenges of the present and to inspire each other to create a better future through the power of design.
