Design in shaping shared environmental awareness

From 5 February to 6 March 2026, ex Teatro dell’Oriuolo hosts IED Firenze x Plures, a group exhibition that explores the value of environmental resources and the role of collective action in shaping a sustainable future. The project stems from the collaboration between IED Firenze and Gruppo Plures, a public multi-utility operating in the fields of environment, energy and water and uses visual communication as a tool for awareness-raising and critical reflection.

Curated by Stefano Cipolla, Art Director of L’Espresso and Editor-in-Chief of Grafica Magazine, the exhibition presents works by five young creatives from IED Firenze coordinated by professor Dario Manzo. Jacopo Koning, Zuzanna Gòrska, Riya Allen and Nicole Ferraresi, alumni of the Master’s program in Graphic Design, together with Paula Cervantes, a student of the BA in Illustration, interpret contemporary environmental challenges through a range of visual languages, from posters and installations to video and painting.

The exhibition path addresses four key themes of sustainability—energy efficiency, waste management, recycling and water resources—across ten sections that connect individuals, communities and the environment, highlighting how everyday actions can take on collective and transformative meaning.
