A typeface inspired by calligraphy, 19th century Gothic typefaces and the signage and buildings of the Ciutat Vella neighborhood in Barcelona

The student designs a new, easily recognisable typeface for the Cercle Artístic Sant Lluc, which is celebrating its 130th anniversary.

Inspired by calligraphy, 19th century Gothic typefaces and the signage and buildings of the Ciutat Vella neighborhood -where the institution is located-, the typeface invokes a sense of history and tradition while still feeling new, fresh and artistic.

The new visual identity has a bold and eye-catching look with bright yellow as the background for the main image to capture the attention of new audiences.
