An transdisciplinary educational experience that encompasses all degree specialisations and responds to the needs of real clients

‘Comercial Epidermis’, which this year celebrates its 5th edition, is an intervention taking place in Bilbao’s commercial space, specifically in the shop windows of 16 businesses in the Old Quarter of the city, held within the framework of the programme of activities of Bilbao Bizkaia Design Week.

The project aims to showcase how the use of design as a tool for intervention in local businesses can enhance the value of the commercial fabric by updating its communication codes.

The initiative is carried out from the perspective of young designers currently undertaking their Bachelor of Arts degrees in the four design specialisations at IED Kunsthal Bilbao: Fashion Design, Product Design, Interior Design and Graphic Design.
