The designer, also a teacher at IED, has been nominated for the second year in a row

After being nominated in 2024, Australian designer Edward Cuming, an IED Barcelona alumnus, is once again a finalist for the 2025 edition of Vogue Fashion Fund, Spain’s top fashion award, presented by Vogue Spain in collaboration with Inditex.

A 2014 BA (Hons) in Fashion Design graduate, Cuming won the Modafad Fashion Award that same year. In 2019, he created his own independent brand, where he focuses on unusual tailoring designs that explore the sensorial, with languid silhouettes and bold colours. His garments are wearable, high-performance garments produced in Spain. He also manufactures footwear, in this case in Italy, in collaboration with local artisans.

Another characteristic of his brand is the use of recycled fabrics, which represent 60% of the total materials used.

In addition to being an alumnus, Cuming has taught at IED.

The Vogue Fashion Fund offers €100,000 gross to the winning brand, in addition to Vogue’s international exposure.
