Two prototypes of Gonzalo Zamora Vergara and Bouchra Yasmine Hadj-Djilani were on display at the stand of Trencillo

Two prototypes by IED Barcelona students from the 2023/2024 edition of the Postgraduate programme in Footwear Design were exhibited from 17 to 19 September at Lineapelle, the International Exhibition of leather, accessories, components, fabrics, synthetics and models in Milan, Italy. Both models were on display at the stand of Trencillo, a Spanish manufacturer of braided threads and laces.
Gonzalo Zamora Vergara presented a design from his brand proposal ‘Oppressus’, the aesthetics of which in black and grey tones are based on a play of light and shadows, symbolising hope within the darkness. Inspired by brutalism, the soles, which are handmade, are shaped as imposing and durable structures.
Bouchra Yasmine Hadj-Djilani opted for a brand — ‘Hbyasi’ — that unites quality, comfort and functionality, with an innovative design for a unisex model that allows you to have two shoes in one just by changing the soles.
