El IED Barcelona viaja a la XI Pasarela de Moda Solidaria de Granada

Date

Five undergraduate and two master students designed a range of exclusive looks for the event

Design, fashion and solidarity go hand in hand once again in the 11th Solidarity Fashion Show in Granada (XI Pasarela de Moda Solidaria de Granada), which took place on 4 October in the Crucero of the Hospital Real venue in the Andalusian city, and included the participation of IED Barcelona.

A group of seven students from the Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design, BA (Hons) in Fashion Design and Master in Fashion Design courses travelled to the Granadan capital where each of them presented an exclusive look they had designed especially for the event. An experience that provided them with the opportunity to learn first hand how a professional fashion contest is carried out, as well as coming into contact with other young talent from the world of fashion, all while contributing to a charitable cause. All the funds raised on the catwalk will go to projects supporting children facing social disadvantages.

During their stay in Granada they also collaborated with a group of students from ESADA (Escuela Superior de Arte y Diseño de Andalucía [School of Art and Design of Andalusia]). Together, they created a small collection using recycled materials that will be on display at the School for the next month.
