IED Madrid will be in charge of closing the Madrid es Moda calendar next September 16 with the collections of 12 students from the fashion school.

On September 16 at 8:30 PM, IED Madrid will host the much-anticipated Fashion Show at Espacio Ventas in Madrid, marking the official closing of Madrid es Moda—a project that aims to highlight and create business opportunities for Spanish fashion brands, all while promoting the values of the city of Madrid.

The runway show will feature collections created as final degree projects by 12 students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design.

These 12 projects were selected on June 20 during the Fashion School Graduation Show held at the IED Madrid Gran Vía campus, where 24 students presented a preview of their collections. The finalists were chosen by a professional jury—the same jury that will now decide which of the 12 students will receive the IED Fashion Talent Award 2025, a prize that includes a master's scholarship at IED Madrid.

The jury is composed of Pepa Bueno (Executive Director of ACME and Director of Madrid es Moda), Ernesto Naranjo (designer), David Alarcón (projects at Metal and Acero magazines), Leticia García (fashion editor-in-chief at SModa in El País), and Federico Antelo (visual artist, textile designer, and Director of the IED Madrid Fashion School).

The projects featured in the Fashion Show were developed around the theme that guided all final degree theses this year: "Connected Knowledge."

This theme highlights the challenge of building connections and the demands of designing in today’s world—where a broader perspective is required, and answers are no longer expected to come from a single source. It’s an invitation that encouraged students to research, experiment, and create in order to build new languages, new answers, and ultimately, new ways of seeing the world.

In addition, during the event, an external professional jury will select the winning collection, whose designer will be awarded a master's program at IED Madrid. The jury includes Pepa Bueno, David Alarcón, Leticia García, and Federico Antelo.

An invitation is required to attend the event.
