Marc Stickdorn, founder and CEO of Smaply and co-author of This is Service Design Thinking and This is Service Design Doing, led the Service Design Disrupted satellite workshop held on 14 October at IED Barcelona. Aimed at service design professionals, the workshop was an additional activity held ahead of the international conference at DHub on 15 and 16 October as part of Barcelona Design Week.

Entitled “From Maps to Management: Scaling Service Design with Journey Management”, the workshop explored service design, innovation and organisational transformation, focusing on helping teams turn their journey maps into a dynamic information system that supports ongoing decision-making.

The session gave participants an opportunity to explore issues relating to service design, UX/CX and design leadership in greater depth, complementing the topics covered at the main conference.
