The young designers have explored the use of Megamorph, ATTRACT’s emerging disruptive technology

A garment to control anxiety through colours and vibrations; a jacket that enables wearers to store water from humidity present in the environment; clothing to cope with extreme temperatures of up to 50ºC; and a cape that can be transformed into a shelter in the event of an atmospheric pollution incident.

These are the four final projects developed by the students of the Master in Design for Sustainable Fashion Technology, in collaboration with Fab Lab Barcelona IAAC, that were presented on 28 June in IED Barcelona’s Open Space 1. Smart fashion to combat anxiety and climate change designed as part of the second edition of Future Technologies for Sustainable Fashion.

Within the framework of the European ATTRACT project, and with the support of CERN, the young designers have explored the use of Megamorph, ATTRACT’s emerging disruptive technology, which aims to contribute to reversing the impact of the fashion industry on the environment.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement no. 101004462.
