Stéphane Rolland’s haute couture at IED Barcelona

IED Barcelona alumni will open the Bridal Night runway show next 22 April

Stéphane Rolland, one of the leading figures in contemporary haute couture, visited IED Barcelona last 16 December.

The Parisian couturier, star guest of the tenth edition of Barcelona Bridal Night, the most emblematic gala of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (BBFW) and the setting for his debut in Spain, visited the school’s facilities to discover the designs created by alumni of the Postgraduate Programme in Wedding and Ceremony Dresses Design. At the express wish of the fashion house, these creations will open the runway show on 22 April, ahead of the presentation of the acclaimed French designer’s own collection.

During his meeting with the young designers, Rolland was able to see the progress made on the initial prototypes already assembled, address the students’ questions and provide them with valuable feedback.

The designs will be produced using fabrics generously supplied courtesy of the firm Gratacós.
