This November has been full of good news for IED Madrid and its Alumni Community.
We began by knowing that the firm Sepiia, whose creator, Federico Sáinz de Robles, is an alumni of a master in the Fashion Area at IED Madrid, won the National Innovation Award in the Innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprise category (Premio Nacional de Innovación en la modalidad Pequeña y Mediana Empresa Innovadora). At a ceremony held at the Royal Palace of El Pardo, Sainz de Robles received the award from Queen Letizia.
Sepiia has received this award for standing out in the fashion industry by combining science, design and technology, thereby revolutionising a key sector in the Spanish economy that is increasingly committed to sustainability and the relocation of production processes to our country.

A few days later, news arrived that Lucas Muñoz Muñoz, an IED Madrid Product Design Alumni, had received the FRAME Editor's Pick award for the Sancal COLAB project he led.
In addition, the project was shortlisted among the four best in the Best Use of Materials 2025 category of these awards.

Finally, during the gala ceremony for the V edition of the Antalia Decora Awards, it was announced that the Third Prize was awarded to the project Matriz, by Jacobo López del Hierro Llopis, a fourth-year student on the Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design at IED Madrid.
The student received the third prize (worth €1,500) for a proposal that stood out for its excellence thanks to its unique, practical and innovative vision of kitchens.
In addition to the three awards, four special mentions were presented during the ceremony; of these, the mention for Functionality and Design also went to the project Matriz.
In addition, student Lilia Cherradi (also in her fourth year of Interior Design) was another finalist in the V edition of these awards with her project MAREANA.
