The ‘Best Interior Design Firm’ award internationally recognises the impeccable track record of this studio and its innovative and creative interior designs for hotels and restaurants

The Barcelona architecture and interior design studio El Equipo Creativo, led by the architects Natali Canas del Pozo, Oliver Franz Schmidt and Lucas Echeveste Lacy, respectively the academic coordinator and teachers of IED Barcelona’s Master in Interior Design for Commercial Spaces and Retail, was crowned the winner in the ‘Best Interior Design Firm’ category at the prestigious international Architizer A+ Awards 2023.

These awards, founded with the intention of democratising architecture, are the most important prizes in the sector and pay tribute to the best buildings and spaces around the world. In the case of El Equipo Creativo, the award internationally recognises its impeccable track record in the field of interior design, with innovative and creative designs, especially in the hospitality and restaurant sector. In its portfolio, the interior designs of restaurants such as Disfrutar, Tunateca Balfegó, Compartir Barcelona, Ikibana, Tickets and One Ocean Club, as well as the hotel Kimpton Vividora Barcelona and the Axel Hotel Madrid, among others, stand out.

The big event, in October

The A+Awards 2023 awards ceremony will take place in October at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, coinciding with the Paris+ par Art Basel modern and contemporary art fair. The gala will bring together more than 600 leading figures in architecture, art and design – including El Equipo Creativo – in what will be one of the main events for architects and designers in 2023.

Congratulations!
