The Master's Program in Event Management at IED Milano provides lessons, practical training, case histories, workshops as well as group or individual projects carried out with partnering companies.

You will learn how to design experiences in a constantly changing and expanding marketplace. You will also understand how to use technological innovations as a response to current changes of our society.

This Master's Program seeks to develop self-aware professionals, i.e. successful project managers who can effectively deal with the whole process of event organisation, with a special focus on the entertainment industry.

The Master's Program in Event Management at IED Milano is designed for those like you who want to develop specialist expertise within the world of events, while also expanding your knowledge of project design, and enhancing personal skills.

It is intended for students who have completed an undergraduate degree in humanities, social sciences, economics and scientific disciplines. Students with previous education in the area of creative project design as well as professionals with a few years of experience in the field are also eligible.  Knowledge of English and the use of Excel are strongly recommended.

The Master's Program in Event Management prepares you for a new perspective on communication. You will be able to manage the whole process of driving an event from start to finish, from planning to operations. 

You will develop an overall understanding of the context and develop the ability to successfully coordinate professionals and suppliers as they interact with each other, whether in-house or within an agency.

You will learn how important teamwork is and what it means to work in synergy and proactively as part of a team that can fulfil real-world briefs made in partnership with different companies. 

You will be taught by a faculty of more than 70 professionals, all of them working in the events industry with specific experience in such areas as fashion shows, musicals, concerts, trade shows, sporting events, conventions and shows.

Syllabus

This Master's Degree provides you with insight into both national and international event markets, along with key cultural knowledge as a basis to move into a career where passion and lifelong learning are just as essential. 

The training programme covers all areas of event delivery, from creative process to roles management, procurement, event direction, regulatory issues and sponsor relations. Over the year, you will be involved in cross-cutting tracks focussing on creativity, innovation, vocational training and the world of work.

THESIS PROJECT

The final project carried out in collaboration with a real-world partner represents the synthesis of the entire training course. Students demonstrate to a client that they can apply all the skills acquired during the course through the development of a team work, communicated in a concrete and impactful way in front of an evaluation committee.
