The course to become an expert in live communication, from planning to promotion
Planning and organising an event: one of the key elements of a communication strategy.
Event organisation is an essential pillar of communication activities, as it enables you to build or maintain relationships with the local community and reach specific target audiences, attracting new customers or strengthening ties with existing loyal customers.
The Event Organisation course will provide you with a solid strategic and operational foundation through the analysis of case studies, practical exercises and theoretical insights. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to analyse the objectives, target audiences and management methods for different types of events (cultural, commercial, digital), always paying particular attention to the issue of sustainability in events.
Design and develop an event concept under the guidance of professional industry experts
The course is divided into modules designed to provide the basic skills required to meet the current demands of the events industry. To this end, the course will introduce the professional roles involved in organising an event, with a particular focus on local communication and promotion activities. In addition, the course will explore both the role of the Project Manager and the technical tools required for the practical planning and organisation of an event: Gantt charts, budgeting and more.
The training programme is designed for anyone with an interest in the events industry. In particular, the course is aimed at those who are already studying or working in the fields of marketing, communications and PR and wish to broaden and specialise their knowledge.
The course enables students not only to explore in depth the methodologies involved in planning an event—from the initial brief through to its execution—but also to gain an understanding of the most appropriate communication channels for the event, such as choosing its corporate identity, public relations, and the involvement of brand ambassadors and celebrities, as well as learning how to draw up a media plan and liaise with the press.
The course includes an educational visit to an events agency, to learn about the various professionals involved and gain first-hand experience of the practical aspects of the sector.
The end-of-course project work is a fundamental part of the training programme, as it will allow you to put into practice the skills and knowledge acquired throughout the course. Specifically, following a brief, you will have the opportunity to develop an event from start to finish, either individually or in a group. You will then be required to define the event’s objectives, identify the target audience, choose the most suitable venue and set the necessary budget.
