The show, part of the IED’s 60th anniversary programme, will be streamed live on IED Barcelona’s Instagram profile: @ied_barcelona

A selection of the best fashion collections from IED Barcelona’s Class of 2026 will take to the runway at the Palau Reial de Pedralbes on 15 June at 7 pm in an event included in the programme celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Istituto Europeo di Design.

The “Fashioners of the World” Final Fashion Show will reach its 22nd edition, presenting 25 vibrant proposals by students from the Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and the BA (Hons) in Fashion Design to specialised media and industry experts. Meticulously crafted, the garments will deliver a visual and creative spectacle, combining technological innovation, heritage and crafts, inclusion and sustainability in a tangible demonstration of the outstanding educational level achieved by students at the IED Fashion School.

At the end of the show, an international jury made up of renowned industry figures will reveal the winning collections of the “Fashioners of the World” Awards.

“Fashioners of the World” Awards

  • Franca Sozzani Award for Best Fashion Collection – presented by David Face, Director of Red Eye Magazine; Sergio Plaza, Creative Director at Lupo and IED alumnus; Stevie Cannell, Projects + Partnerships at 1 Granary; and model and author Verónica Blume.

  • Manuel Outumuro Award for Best Shooting
  • Jordi Labanda Award for Best Fashion Illustration
  • IEDxCommons Impact Award – presented by alumni Clara Mallart, PhD in Sustainable Fashion Philosophy and specialist in textile industrial ecology, and stylists Fermin + Gilles

A sensory experience by MANE and Joan Escribà

For the third consecutive year, “Fashioners of the World” will feature its own perfume, created exclusively by MANE, the leading French group and one of the world leaders in the fragrance and flavour industry. In collaboration with Fashion students from IED Barcelona and IED Milano, MANE has also co-created four additional perfumes for four looks that will be showcased during the event alongside a small photographic display presenting the advertising campaign proposal for each fragrance.

Attendees will also be able to enjoy an exhibition of portfolios by students from the BA in Fashion Design, Fashion Styling and the BA (Hons) in Fashion Design.

In addition, “Fashioners of the World” will premiere Joan Escribà’s new rock chocolate, whose packaging design — winner of a Gold LAUS Award — was created by Visual Arts alumnus Xavier Isasti.

The show will be streamed live on IED Barcelona’s Instagram profile, @ied_barcelona, and amplified through our collaborators Not Just A Label, the world’s leading designer platform for showcasing and nurturing pioneers of contemporary fashion, and 1 Granary, a global hub for fashion education and creativity.
