IED Master courses promote a multidisciplinary approach and the exchange of knowledges, combining study and research with practical work and organising extracurricular activities.

SUZUKI MISANO – La Dolce Vita X Way of Life
Istituto Europeo di Design presents Misano, the new concept vehicle made in collaboration with Suzuki. The result of the thesis project of the 24 students of the Master in Transportation Design at IED Torino, Misano is the answer to the Japanese company’s question: a style model that intertwines Japanese philosophy and automotive design embodying pure passion, style and fun, like the very best of Italian tradition.

TRAINING ACCOMPANIES THE PROFESSIONAL CAREER
Every day, whether you continue after your studies in the freelance profession or if you work in a studio or in a company, a very high and above all transversal preparation is required. For this reason, IED also advises its students to keep themselves informed and update themselves often, perhaps with complementary courses to those taken in the three years, also gaining experience abroad.

Vasiliy Kurkov, from Russia, arrived at IED Torino to study Transportation Design after having studied Industrial Design in his home Country and an internship at General Motors in Germany.

AERODYNAMICS WORKSHOP IN COLLABORATION WITH NEWCAST SERVICE
During this workshop, students developed a sigle-seat experience race-car matching aerodynamic solutions with design issues and personal intentions. They were asked to provide sketches, textes, images, 3D modeling etc of both interiors and exteriors, as well as the design of the pilot’s racing suit: that was the birth of the prototype Manta. The workshop saw the collaboration of Newcast Service, a company that offers rapid prototyping solutions and services for material engineering and the racing world.
