IED Barcelona alumni Clara Mallart and Alba Garcia, and teacher Ari Rovira, participated in various workshops as part of the programme “From Challenge to Opportunity. The New Rules of Fashion: Training and strategies to lead the future of the sector” organised by Modacc, the Catalan Fashion and Textile Cluster.
The experts led workshops where they shared their knowledge of strategy design, sustainability, and ecodesign to contribute to the development and/or implementation of business initiatives in the fashion industry that generate a real, positive impact on society.
The workshops took place on 26 March (Clara Mallart), 9 April (Ari Rovira), and 16 April (Alba Garcia).
In Mallart’s case, the ecodesign and fashion consultant led a practical workshop in which she demonstrated the steps to follow to learn how to design sustainability strategies, highlighting key aspects to consider and offering advice on avoiding the most common mistakes in the process.
IED Barcelona teacher Ari Rovira explored the different ecodesign strategies available, considering social, environmental and legislative contexts, and put them into practice by way of a practical workshop.
Last but not least, the workshop by Alba García, alumnus and co-founder of BCome, focused on various aspects of product lifecycle analysis, with the goal of using this data to adapt to new regulations, promote ecodesign, and foster the development of sustainable business strategies.
