Nicole Ray Kochergin is one of the 12 students selected from more than 100 international submissions competing to win the circular design challenge organised by one of Europe’s largest online fashion platforms
The Circularity Masterclass, the online platform created by Graduate Fashion Foundation and Zalando to inspire and educate in circular fashion design, has selected Nicole Ray Kochergin, a student at IED Barcelona, as one of the 12 finalists in its international challenge.
Kochergin’s project (three outfits plus accessories designed according to principles and considerations of circularity, including end-of-life processes, raw materials, dyes and finishes, among others) has stood out among more than 100 proposals from universities across Europe and the United Kingdom.
The BA (Hons) in Fashion Design student will travel to London to present her portfolio to an industry jury next June during Graduate Fashion Week. There, the panel of experts will select an overall winner, who will receive personalised mentoring from a circular fashion designer in their city.
Best of luck, Nicole!
