The two models from their new spring-summer collections were on display at the stand of Trencillo, an Spanish manufacturer of braided strings and threads

From 18 to 21 February, Ibai Fletas and Valentina Lago, who completed the Postgraduate in Footwear Design at IED Barcelona, presented two prototypes of their final theses with the help of Trencilo at the MICAM Milano international trade fair dedicated to the footwear industry.

The two models from their new spring-summer collections were on display at the stand of this Spanish manufacturer of braided strings and threads.

Ibai Fletas views design as functional, ethical and durable. This philosophy is reflected in his Aurita footwear collection, featuring fifteen models and twenty colour references inspired by shapes from nature that fulfil a perfect function, such as the Fibonacci or fractals series.

The collection is geared towards outdoor sports performance for multidisciplinary individuals with cross-functional sports models sharing the same characteristics.

For her part, Valentina Lago’s collection is based on slow fashion and exploring the use and experimentation of materials, focusing on solving the problem of waste generation through product circularity and simultaneously seeking a balance between timelessness and trends.

Sempiterno is a capsule collection of fifteen models and twenty references planned for autumn/winter that is primarily inspired by the 1970s, aiming to convey various levels of sustainable footwear options by proposing three product lines: Relibre, Redurable and Replastic.
