In November 1994, seven young pioneers joined the first Transportation Design class at the Istituto Europeo di Design.

Today, more than 30 years later, the IED Torino seat continues to be a source of extraordinary talents who, sketch after sketch, have pushed the boundaries of shape and function to new heights, defining the distinctive features of future cars. From the first experimentation with design to collaborations with the most prestigious automotive brands, each concept car is a vision of an evolving world, a chapter in an ongoing journey.

The collection of 1:1 scale prototypes developed by the students of theMaster Course in Transportation Design tells a story of synergies with globally renowned brands – Tesla, Pagani, Suzuki, Alfa Romeo, Hyundai, Fiat, Alpine, Abarth, Mitsubishi and many others.

This is an invaluable legacy that bears witness to the progress in style, technique, and design approach of many young designers who have become accomplished professionals in the automotive industry. The creation of these models is an expression of the uniqueness and distinctive values inherent in IED identity: something that, as always, IED Torino continues to enhance with every new project it undertakes.
