Monograph goes to Centro Pecci with a sneak preview visit to the exhibition "Diego Marcon: Glassa" and a meeting with the artist.

After visiting the permanent exhibition Eccentrica. Le collezioni del Centro Pecci and meeting with the designers Formafantasma, the collaboration between IED Firenze and the Centro for Contemporary Art Luigi Pecci is further enriched.

On Friday, September 29th, students and professors from IED had the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the exhibition Diego Marcon: Glassa and participate in an exclusive talk with the artist, which is part of the IED Monograph event series.

Diego Marcon: Glassa is the artist's most extensive exhibition project to date within an Italian institution, and it will be open to the public from September 30th to February 4th, 2024.

Invited by director Stefano Collicelli Cagol in January 2022, Diego Marcon, one of the most interesting figures in the international contemporary art scene, has taken over the ten rooms of the ala Gamberini, transforming them into an immersive experience with new and existing works arranged in a specially designed setting for the Centro Pecci.

With the IED classes in Interior Design, Interior and Furniture Design, Curatorial Practice, and Fashion Design, the artist had the opportunity to delve deeper into the concept underpinning his exhibition, including the use of light, the architectural enhancement of museum spaces, the boundary between cinema and visual arts, and the exploration of the relationship between reality and moving images.
