An educational course aimed at developing the skills needed to transform the text of the screenplay into scenes, and thereby produce a film or TV series.

The script is a living instrument in the hands of the actors. These, playing their roles, have to interact with directors and scriptwriters to obtain the best result from the performance. It is essential to establish an effective dialogue between these 3 individuals and this requires specific skills, which must be established before arriving on set. A process involving the rewriting of the script, the revision of the direction (starting with individual shots), and, finally, the actor's performance as the beginning and end of the process itself. This is a process that begins during the adaptation of the text to the real situation of the actors' bodies, during staging, in the relationship between the text and the direction, in the coherence between the dramaturgy and the direction itself.

With the guidance of renowned and experienced screenwriters, directors, casting directors, actor-coaches and actors, the Master Program in Creating Cinema - From Screenplay to Film immerses participants in the adventure of transforming a written text into performances, scenes, films, series.

Screenwriters will learn how to listen to and put into practice the needs of the actors, while directors will learn how to address the performers so that they understand their intentions and expectations, all within the broader vision of the film project.
Actors will develop skills on how to build on their character in order to be proactive and to present their demands to scriptwriters and directors.

Following a modular path, all the preparatory steps to the actual production of the film work will be followed: analysis of the text, reality dramaturgy, casting, rehearsals with actresses and actors, revision of the text after rehearsals; realisation on the set, direction, staging.

The final stage of the Master Program in Creating Cinema - From Screenplay to Film involves the production of one or more short films by the participants, guided by the lecturers.
