Contest “WHEN ITALIAN DESIGN MEETS GEORGIAN CREATIVITY – QUALITY MATTERS!” was organized with the Italian Embassy in Tbilisi on the occasion of the event “Italian Design Days in Georgia – 2023”.

The award ceremony was hosted by SOLO Lounge in frames of the just-ended Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi. During the event Jacopo Manganiello, who visited Georgia,  together with Nicola Iorio, Deputy Head of Mission, Italian Embassy in Tbilisi, and Diana Kvariani, IED Rome graduate, awarded the winners.

The first prize - a scholarship to study in the IED Summer Course - went to Mariam Topuria, a student of the Faculty of Design, who presented a project inspired by the ideas of Italian genius Leonardo Da Vinci.

The second prize - access to IED Smart Creativity self-paced online learning platform - was awarded to Sandri Urtkmelidze for the project, which represents the diversity of stone use and environmental sustainability concepts.

The Jury Prize - Italian production exclusive sunglasses - was received by Nika Khvedelidze, author of an interesting interior design project.
