Start your career by exploring the history, the current trends and the very foundations of the fashion world in a hands-on course that includes illustration, fabric identification and the conceptualization of fashion collections

The Fashion Design Junior course is a unique opportunity to step into the world of design, taking a practical and creative approach. In this 25-hour course you’ll explore the history and evolution of fashion, learn the basics and what moves the latest trends.

What’s more, you’ll develop skills in illustration, learn about fabric identification and conceptualization of a mini collection, taking a look at marketing and fashion branding to learn how to present your ideas in a professional way.

The course is designed to stimulate and encourage creativity and personal expression, providing the essential tools required for those who want to continue exploring fashion as a future career or a form of personal expression. You’ll have access to a fully-equipped workshop and a team of tutors to help bring your ideas to life.

Information to decide

It’s a unique experience, and an excellent way to take your first steps in the world of fashion design through practical learning, working hands-on with real fabrics, experimenting with dressmaking and tailoring techniques under the guidance of expert fashion designers.

The course consists of five modules: An introduction to fashion, Technical Foundations of Fashion Design, Creative Process, Creating a collection and presenting it.

The Project-Based Learning methodology is the most effective way to put theory and what you’ve learned into practice in a real context. Acquire key know-how as you progress with the help of a team of experts.

If you’re 15 to 18 years old, with a passion for the world of fashion design, this is the course for you.

Explore the foundations of fashion design with a practice-based learning method that lets you apply the new skills you’ve learned from day one.

Learn first-hand from a team of experts, putting theory into practice in a dynamic environment.

Live a learning experience at IED Kunsthal Bilbao, experimenting with your creative ideas, developing fashion projects in the workshop of a real design school.
