The CSP (Continuing Study Program) in Interior Decoration and Styling is an introduction to the sector’s main research tools and theoretical and practical ideas.

From a contemporary social perspective, creating spaces that are suitable for personal, professional and/or social development is a task that requires a strong command of the technique and knowledge.  The course touches on the latest trends, chromatic relations, combinations of textures and materials as the key elements to achieve a harmonious, pleasant atmosphere that meets the needs of today’s dwellers.

Students are equipped with the tools and criteria they need to face the complex challenge of ‘dressing’ spaces. This is done by outlining the main theoretical concepts and offering them a series of practical tools to help reveal potential difficulties and propose different career options.

This postgraduate course is developed within several research fields: creative process, tools for discipline development, knowledge and command of materials and trends.

Driven by the need to combine these subjects transversely, the course is based on the development of several exercises, so the knowledge acquired in theoretical sessions is put into practice, and divided in subjects imparted by some of the best professionals in interior design in a combination of theoretical lessons and practical exercises. Methodology also includes visits to top leading showrooms and stores.

The course is geared towards the exploration of a discipline that, behind an appearance of familiarity and daily nature, requires great knowledge and a meticulous technical command. Latest trends, the relations between colours and the combination of textures and materials are essential to create a pleasant and harmonious space in tune with the needs of today’s individuals in regards of their homes.

Student profile

The program is addressed to students, professionals and, in general, all those interested in the field of interior decoration and styling, who whether for job or personal reasons require this type of training to give a proper response in an increasingly competitive and changing field.

It is required to present applicant’s CV and a motivation letter (if requirements are not met, the school will consider each case individually).

The educational planning for all IED Master courses is aligned with the criteria established by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The IED Master program adopts a credit structure that follows the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). IED Master only awards its own private degrees.

Remarkable is that teacher who accomplishes himself what he teaches to others.
(Italian proverb)

IED faculty are professionals that daily face the market. Here you can read their bios.
