Tell a story in pictures! The Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design gives you all the resources you need as a professional designer to create new ways to communicate using images. You’ll learn to reinvent the value of the image as a communication tool in society and work in an effective and innovative way with corporate values and ideas.

In this 4-year program you’ll create your professional profile as a graphic designer acquiring the skills you need to work in professional sectors such as Branding, Advertising, Virtual or Digital design and four graphic design pathways to choose from.

You’ll lay solid technical and humanistic foundations on which to build visual identity projects, design editorial work for print or digital media or create interfaces and applications for new devices and advertising campaigns.

At IED Madrid you’ll acquire the conceptual, technical and multidisciplinary preparation and all the tools required to work in every area of both digital and graphic design.

You’ll learn to design using the latest techniques and tools such as photography, illustration, infographics, video, animation and device interfaces.

In the first year of the program you’ll get a grounding in the theoretical and practical foundations of design. In the second year you can choose your pathway in graphic design and create your own professional profile. The entire syllabus is focused on a hands-on approach: during the 4-year program you’ll develop a number of different projects and gain work experience applying all the know-how you’ve acquired in a real professional context.

The Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design is a specific program for aspiring designers who want to work in the professional world of visual communication.

If you’re a creative person who loves to learn hands-on, doing research to discover new things, experimenting with novel ideas, and you want to take these innate interests and offer them as professional qualities to international enterprises, this is the course for you.

This Bachelor of Arts gives you a panoramic perspective of visual communication. The specialisation opens the doors to a wide range of cross-disciplinary opportunities in all production sectors: strategic consulting firms, advertising or branding agencies, design studios, media groups, digital transformation consultants, and more.
