With the IED Madrid Official Undergraduate Degree in Design, specialising in Fashion Design you’ll have everything you need to find solutions to the challenges of the modern fashion industry.
The complexity of the learning experience increases gradually as you progress. You’ll acquire all the know-how you need in the field of design to create your own garments. As the program continues, you’ll explore the fundamental fields of the fashion world, such as brand identity and image, communication and distribution strategies.
From the third year of this 4-year program you can choose to specialise in one of the following pathways: Prêt-à-porter, or Communication and Styling. These pathways include workshops, intensive Labs and real hands-on projects.
What’s more, you’ll be studying with a team of lecturers that includes professionals who’ve already made their mark in the sector. You’ll also be collaborating with various fashion brands and companies in a hands-on work environment that puts you in touch with the working fashion world.
This program is for people who want to explore the limits of their creative talent and focus on designing clothing for both men and women; students interested in the pattern-making process, modelling and creating patterns to develop collections from scratch.
It’s also ideal for those who want to work in fashion communication and creative direction, after learning the ins and out of the technical side of the fashion industry.
The program gives you a panoramic understanding of the fashion industry: from ideation and brainstorming ideas to participating at fairs and project communication.
The Official Undergraduate Degree in Design, specialising in Fashion Design is a degree from a prestigious school, proof of your creative and project management abilities, as well as the experience you’ve gained.
Under the guidance of your lecturers, professionals working in the sector, you’ll be collaborating from the very first year with fashion companies and professional designers, developing projects in a real work context.
You’ll study at IED Madrid in the Altamira Palace, participate in fashion workshops equipped with the specific machines used in the industry, to put all the knowledge you’ve acquired into practice.
You also have the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus programme to gain experience in other countries leading the field in fashion design.
