IED Alumni: Rudraksh Banerjie

My experience in IED allowed me to grow as a person and become intellectual and knowledgeable”.

Rudraksh Banerjie, former student of the Master course in Transportation Design, considers IED to be a “Gym” for designers, a place where motivated people can improve their abilities with the support of the best teachers and instructors. The course takes place in Turin, the Motor Valley of Europe. According to Rudraksh, the environment of the city plays a central role in the design process because “you are surrounded by the things that you are passionate about, and this helps you to get in the mood”.

Rudraksh believes that working with passionate designers is the principal driver of success for a young professional. Very important, moreover, are the group projects that encourage the debate between classmates.

During his period at IED he took part to the design of the Honda Tomo, all-electric concept car presented at the 89th Geneva International Motor Show. After, he worked for Manifattura Automobili Torino, the studio behind the design of the New Stratos.
