This coming month of March, the IED team will travel to Perú together with Pablo Jarauta, professor of Theory and Culture of Design at IED Madrid.

During his visit, Pablo Jarauta will give a series of workshops and conferences with our partners in Perú. During the week of March 20 to 24, some of the most renowned and outstanding universities in that country that offer programs related to the creative industries sector, will be visited.

Likewise, he will give the Conference "Looking at Nowhere: Design as a Guidance Tool"

How to orient yourself in a world in constant transformation? Where to look? How to move? What maps to draw? With what knowledge and emotions?

Today we live in times of uncertainty and perplexity, the world has multiplied its images, objects, processes... creating a complex landscape where disorientation marks our days.
Design today stands as a language, a way of thinking, building and communicating capable of generating new experiences and interactions, a language from which to inhabit and think about the world, questioning the future and participating actively, openly and inclusively in the construction of the societies of the future.

In addition to his teaching work at the IED Madrid, Pablo Jarauta is a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Murcia. He has worked in the fields of the history of cartography, utopian thought, and design theory and culture, tracing the relationships between life, representation, and the world of the possible. He has been a professor in the Romance Studies Department of Duke University and in the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Extremadura
