Acquire new skills as a designer, artist or communicator exploring the multifaceted world of motion graphics.


In this master's degree you’ll acquire the skills you need to develop a Motion Design project from start to finish using experimentation, innovation and the hybridisation of languages.  To do this you’ll discover different audiovisual techniques and trends, using the most effective graphic animation tools (creativity, visual conceptualisation, audiovisual narration, storytelling, work processes, guidelines, and more).

You’ll develop your own visual style to take the first steps in the professional Motion Graphics’ world, acquiring new skills to add to your professional toolkit. After the course you’ll have all the resources you need to develop a branding project and create a brand identity, write audiovisual narratives, create speeches and Motion Graphics’ projects from different communication perspectives, manage the various stages of the process and do anything you want with the characteristic languages used on digital communication channels.

The Master’s Degree in Motion Graphics offers an immersive experience to develop your skills and gain new experience in the field of motion graphics. The course methodology focuses on the development of projects, both individually and as a team member. The Master’s Degree in Motion Graphics is for professionals working in design and visual communication. It’s for people who already have some professional knowledge, skills and/or experience in this field.

A portfolio or academic qualifications in the Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Design, Illustration, Animation, Communication or similar, with the relevant credits, are required to enrol.

During the course you’ll develop your creative talent exploring the world of motion graphics, using all the available resources to develop your professional career.

Motion graphics designers are in high demand not just for their knowledge and skill in animation, but also to incorporate movement in the creative process.

You’ll learn the ins and outs of the entire motion design process, acquiring the skills you need to improve and amplify the results and possibilities of a project as a member of a team.

This course opens new career options in film and TV production companies, creative studios, advertising agencies, in corporate audiovisual departments, and more.

MODULE 1: AUDIOVISUAL IDENTITY IN GRAPHIC DESIGN

The goal of this module is to fit the dynamics of design into the mechanics of the new language of Motion, creating visual identities where movement defines the brand's personality.
Subjects:
An introduction to the history and development of motion graphics
Functional basics
Design methodology and the production process
The phases of development: research, definition, ideation and design
Animation in visual identity
2D animation and typography
Motion design tools (traditional frame-by-frame animation in Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema 4D, and more.)



MODULE 2: STORYTELLING

In this module you’ll develop your storytelling skills, discovering new narrative codes combined with graphic languages. You’ll also learn how to use the best project ideation, storyboarding, sketching and presentation techniques.

MODULE 3: PROFESSIONAL MOTION GRAPHICS’ PRODUCTION

In the third module you’ll acquire a deeper understanding of the external aspects of the production process.

The sound/film studio, lighting and production
Digital post-production, mixing, finishing and colour correction
Special effects
Sound design
Production software
Final Project
In your final project you’ll combine the styles and techniques you’ve acquired and showcase the progress you’ve made during the year. Your final project is also an excellent presentation for future experiences or vlogging jobs.
